Clipsal was established in Adelaide, Australia in 1920 by Alfred Gerard. After 80 years of continuous expansion it developed into a global enterprise with a manufacturing range of 45000 different products in Electrical, Electronics and Communications.

In late 2003, the Clipsal brand joined hands with Schneider Electric., Clipsal is now poised to be a major player in global markets and aims to be the number one brand in Installation systems and Controls in the world within next 5 years.

The No: 1 brand in Australia and Asia and also one among the top 5 brands in the world, in electrical wiring accessories. Clipsal is a highly innovative company, which has taken leadership in several manufacturing areas.

Clipsal became the world leader in 1956 in the use of Thermo Plastics producing the World’s first impact resistant polycarbonate switch plate.
